नेपाली राजदूतावास वासिङ्टन डि सी ले तत्काल Machine Readable Passport (MRP) संबन्धी सेवामा परिवर्तन गरेको छ। राजदूतावासको सो सूचना अनुसार अब नेपाली MRP पासपोर्ट बनाउन या रिन्यू गर्नको लागि निवेदक स्वयं राजदूतावास वासिङ्टन डि सी या न्यूयोर्क स्थित महाँवाणिज्य दुतावासमा अनिवार्य उपस्थित हुनुपर्ने छ।
निवेदकले काम छिटो गर्नको लागि दूतावासले अनलाइनमा प्रि-इनरोलमेंटको पनि ब्यबस्था गरेको छ। दूतावासको साइट http://www.nepalembassyusa.org/मा गएर Machine Readable Passport (MRP) लिनको लागि प्रि-इनरोलमेंटका साथै थप जानकारी लिन सकिनेछ।
दूतावासवाट प्राप्त थप जानकारी जस्ताको तेस्तै:
Machine Readable Passport (MRP)
The Government of Nepal started issuing Machine Readable Passport (MRP) since 26 December 2010. As per the provision of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), all handwritten passports must be replaced with Machine Readable Passports (MRP) by 24 November 2015. Individuals holding hand-written passports are not able to travel abroad effective from 24 November 2015 irrespective of the date of expiry mentioned in the handwritten passport.
Requirements for renewing old passport through Live Enrollment System
Applicant must Pre-Enroll and present in person to the Embassy for renewing old passport or obtaining new passport through Live Enrollment System.
Renewal
1.Printout of the Pre-enrollment application.
2.Actual Citizenship Certificate and it’s copy.
3.Old Passport and it’s copy.
4.Revenue Fee $ 150 (Money order or Cashier’s Cheque only).
Lost, Damage of Stolen
1.Printout of the Pre-enrollment application.
2.Actual Citizenship Certificate and it’s copy.
3.Old Passport or it’s copy.
4.Revenue Fee $ 300 (Money order or Cashier’s Cheque only).
Under 10 Years Age
1.Printout of the Pre-enrollment application.
2.Actual Citizenship Certificate and it’s copy.
3.Original Citizenship Certificate of child’s father and mother and it’s copies.
4.Marriage certificate of parents and it’s copies.
5.Actual Nabalak Parichayapatra or Birth Certificate and it’s copies.
6.Old Passport and it’s copy (For Renewal).
7.Revenue Fee $ 75 (Money order or Cashier’s Cheque only).
10 to 16 Years Age
1.Printout of the Pre-enrollment application.
2.Actual Citizenship Certificate and it’s copy.
3.Original Citizenship Certificate of child’s father and mother and it’s copies.
4.Marriage certificate of parents and it’s copies.
5.Actual Nabalak Parichayapatra or Birth Certificate and it’s copies.
6.Old Passport and it’s copy (For Renewal).
7.Revenue Fee $ 150 (Money order or Cashier’s Cheque only).
